Gridlock As Long Portsmouth Shutdown Begins
« on: December 23, 2006, 04:25:04 PM »

We dont get our trains back until February 4 2007!!!!

Partly thanks to Network Rails' immaculate timing (last Saturday before the "big day" , Portsmouth v Sheffield United Premiership football match) , the city has been gridlocked all day. Even Santa was spotted stuck in traffic just outside the North End district.....

Merry Christmas Smiley

Quote from passenger :

'It's definitely added extra time to my journey, maybe an hour. I think it's a stupid time of year to do it.'
