Facilities at Melksham Station

Railway timetables and information ... if you want information about Melksham, that's 100 yards or so away at the top of the station approach

This box doesn't give a big clue what it does ... so I'll let you in to the secret. Push the button, and it will tell you about trains arriving in the next 90 minutes. If the trains are delayed, it will tell you by how much. Cool!

The flower beds at the syation are well attended - here's a magnificent August display on a hot sunny day.

Station seating ... outside for use on a nice day, and in the background the station shelter for use when the weather's not so great

The station shelter. Facilities at the station and on the station approach have been recently improved.

Bicycle lockers. There's no notice telling you how to use these and they're locked ... I would guess you would register your interest with Wessex Trains?

Further cycle space. These pictures were taken early one Sunday morning; during the week, you'll usually find cycles here and a great deal more of other activity too.

The one sign to tell people that they're at Melskham .... the other sign pole is bare. Could do with replacing, me thinks. (I am told that a replacement for this sign will be fitted shortly.
