Stone trains run through from Bradford Junction to Thingley Junction from time to time, but I understand that there are many more paths provided / reserved for them than there are trains. The ORR has a consultation running about the holding of more paths than are needed ... and perhaps it's one we should take a look at. http://www.rail-reg.gov.uk/server/show/ConWebDoc.10282With services from Salisbury to Swindon, and Westbury to Birmingham, through the day, the line might start to get quite busy. It would be a great shame for opportunities to be lost because of phantom trains that never (or hardly ever) run!
