Recommended service - hourly, according to the GWRUS. Let's work towards that service and towards ensuring all services are used.

Transwilts LINK - connecting outside the county, and not just stations
« on: December 30, 2010, 04:28:33 PM »

There's good news - there's much more of a political will to provide a more appropriate TransWilts service now than there has been in the past.   That's helped by such diverse factors as the GWRUS, growth in the area, increased rail use in general, the realisation that we may run out of oil, and much more of a willingness of people to use public transport (rail especially rather than drive all the way).

To back up that good news, the current case needs to be remade and reput - not just locally, but across and beyond the county - to the region as a whole;  perhaps we've looked too much at Swindon to Salisbury in the past when we should look at connections and complete journeys.

The diagrams above are the first two of a series.   We're going to be working together on these - I need help (and I have some) and inputs - here, or by email (we suffer a diversity of communication routes!) .... email me via graham@wellho.net .
