A walk on the Thames Path - from Tilehurst to Pangborne, on Saturday 21st August 2010.
09:20 from Melksham Station, by train - arrive at Tilehurst at 10:51 return from Pangborne at 14:31 and get back into Melksham at 15:46
The walk is about 4 miles, mostly alongside the river and past Mapledurham lock. For anyone who wishes to join us but not walk, they can get off the train at 10:47 on the way up at Pangborne, and the rest of the party will join them there. I understand there is a good pub in Pangborne.
Cost - from Melksham, we'll be a "groupsave" ticket on the day and split the cost - expect it to be about 10 pounds per adult / 3 pounds per child return for the rail fare (will not exceed 12 pounds / 4 pounds). Dogs welcome and travel for free.
So that I can get a rough idea of numbers ... let me know if you'll be coming from Melksham. Anyone coming up the TransWilts from Salisbury / Warminster / Dilton Marsh / Westbury / Trowbridge - I suggest you let me know / get a ticket to Melksham and we'll buy the Tilehurst tickets on the train from there.

We will be joining the 0920 from Melksham station that day. However, we will be heading to Ashchurch for Tewkesbury on the next leg of our 8 in 15 day Freedom of Severn & Solent Rover tickets. We'll be with you as far as Swindon, though
