Melksham Area Board meeting (24/03/2010)
« on: March 11, 2010, 04:46:46 PM »

From Wiltshire Council:

Quote from: Wiltshire Council
Melksham Area Board meeting

Lorry parking and improvement of the town’s services are on the agenda at Melksham Area Board meeting next Wednesday (March 24).

Everyone is invited to the meeting which, because of a venue change, will now take place at Bowerhill Village Hall at 7pm. Tea and coffee will be available from 6.30pm.

The evening will include a presentation from Wiltshire Council on how the delivery of council services can be improved in the town. A discussion will then take place about what type of public services people want in Melksham and what they expect from them. People will also be asked how services should be accessed and how the council can engage more widely with the Melksham community regarding the future of services in the town.

The meeting will also include feedback from the survey into lorry parking in the area which was carried out following concerns voiced by nearby residents about lorries parking in the King Street car park.

The board will consider the grant applications and people will find out which ones have been successful.

The council’s partners, including Wiltshire Police and NHS Wiltshire, will also give updates.
