From TransportDirect, where I asked for an 06:30 journey from Melksham to Warminster

06:30 to 06:59 - 29 minutes - by private car
06:41 to 07:11 - 30 minutes - direct train
07:12 to 08:08 - 58 minutes - bus to Trowbridge then train on to Warminster

I was also offered 1 hour and 28 minutes (07:29 to 08:57)  by a quite extraordinary combination of the Minerva M4 bus (which I had to walk to from Melksham town centre, as it serves Berryfield), Changing at Paxcroft Mead into First's 264 service.
