TransWilts - Nearly Every Seat Taken - past and future
« on: December 31, 2009, 07:14:46 PM »

Looking for a snowy picture to post up to say "Happy New Year", I came across this picture that I took on the train early in my campaigning days. It's labelled - "this is what the Saturday train user to be like" and is a reminder that when we had a train between 5 and 6 p.m. from Swindon to West Wilts, 2 cars, it was very well used.

Rail travel has grown dramatically even in the few years since I took that picture so just imagine how more busy a more appropriate TransWilts service would be today.   I enter the new decade in hope - hope that the penny is now staring to drop where previously there was lip service at best, and actions that contradicted positive words at worst.  And I look forward, once again, to travelling in a TransWilts trains that's "nesting" - Nearly Every Seat Taken.
