Corby Station Opens

The first London-bound train in 40 years departed from the new Corby station yesterday, ending a near-20 year wait for any kind of regular passenger service from the town (link below.)

A train will leave Corby for London in the morning, with a return service in the evening, until enough rolling stock can be secured by East Midlands Trains to run a full hourly service, which they hope to introduce in late April.
