OK ... it's a long time since I reminded everyone (especially First Great Western, the Department for Transport, and Wiltshire Country Council) that if you provide a train to link the major population centres, it will be used ....  ... but that if you have a station without a train service, it won't move a lot of people ...  Top picture - the 17:02 Worcester to Southampton, via Swindon and the TransWilts, on Friday. The majority of the seats were taken ... what a pity that this was the first train for over 12 hours! |
