Kettering's Eurostar Link "Should Be Used To Sell Town"
« on: August 22, 2008, 07:14:57 AM »

Kettering's Eurostar link should be used to attract international companies to the town, according to borough council leader Jim Hakewill (link below.)

He said that with opportunities for private investment reducing as the credit crunch takes hold, Kettering must maximise its potential.

He wants to promote the plan for the town centre and use Kettering's location with its easy links to the Eurostar as a selling point.

Last month, Kettering Council unveiled detailed proposals of its vision for the town centre, which includes a boutique hotel in Horsemarket, a department store on Wadcroft car park and restaurants in Market Place.
