Greater Manchester Future Transport has also released images of another transport interchange that could be built in the region if the Transport Innovation Fund package is approved (link below.)

Altrincham interchange, in Trafford, would link up bus, train and tram services, and the train station would be modernised as part of the TIF proposals.

New canopies will be built over the platforms, and the interchange would also offer real time and electronic information systems for all bus, tram and train services, as well as a new footbridge linking the platforms and more comprehensive CCTV, according to GMFT.
