Work To Start On Donnington/Telford Freight Terminal

There is also a Railfreight Terminal proposed at Telford (link below.)

The complex in Donnington, next to an industrial development, is expected to be completed by December and will open early next year (link below.)

Once open, the terminal is expected to handle 750,000 tonnes of goods a year.

Work on the final stage will start on 2 June.

Advantage West Midlands said it had approved the final funding of £770,000 (link below.)

Other money is coming from Telford and Wrekin Council and the European Regional Development Fund with English Partnerships involved in the development of sites next to the terminal.
