From the First Great Western Website :
14:23 Swindon to Southampton Central due 16:44
This train will be started from Westbury. It will no longer call at: Swindon, Chippenham, Melksham and Trowbridge.
Road replacement transport will run between Chippenham and Westbury.
The 1335 is showing as a No Report.
Also :
15:32 Exeter St Davids to Westbury due 16:37
An additional train service has been planned to operate as shown 15:32 Exeter St Davids to Westbury due 16:37 run on 28/11/06.
I would not be optimistic about the chances for the evening commuter trains.

Nope, the 17:43 from Swindon is cancelled too according to the First Bulletin I have just received. Chances are that the 17:02 up will go as well. It looks fairly certain that cancellations will hit 40% today and may rise to 60%. Do you remember Alison Forster telling us how much better FGW were doing after the first 100 days of the franchise. Ah - she's too senior (their MD) to have even been seen in Melksham Sorry - I don't want to get personal, and I know they have problems today, but there's an arrogance in how FGW keep cancelling the train as if they didn't care and it doesn't matter.

Sion as a regular commuter I am interested to know what your plans are concerning your travel arrangements after the timetable change, ie are you going to drive all the way, drive to another station and train it from there or bus it to another station then train etc etc?
For me personally for the journeys I make I'll still try really hard to use the train if I want to travel at the time it is running, otherwise I'll probably end up using my car, or sometimes use the train via the Bath dogleg.
