Pewsey derailment
« on: November 28, 2006, 08:14:43 AM »

Heard on the radio this morning that an enginnering train was derailed at Pewsey with no services calling there, and some services being diverted via the Melksham branch.  I dont think its had a knock on effect for any of the local services so far..

Sounds like they'll be out most of the day - perhaps service are coming up through Melksham?    I'm out of town today, so can't check.  And I understand the 19:30 Plymouth to Paddinton is coming up through Melksham each day this week because the Bristol to Taunton is shut.

Come to think of it ... is via Melksham the ONLY way from London to Taunton as I write?
