Brighton-Bedford Train Cab Catches Fire
« on: April 13, 2008, 12:44:45 AM »

Hundreds of passengers were stranded on a Brighton to Bedford train after debris on the track caused a fire in the driver's cabin (link below.)

British Transport Police said the debris touched a live rail just outside London Bridge station on Friday evening, causing a small explosion.

There were no injuries, but passengers faced long delays before the train was evacuated and they got to the station.

Two public order arrests were made at London Bridge over "fraying tempers".
