Said to be one of the quiet trains?

4 on the platform before it arrived, another 4 or so got off, and around 20 people remained on the train.  My arriving guest told me that there were more on it from Swindon to Chippenham .... and it strikes me that this is NOT The fresh air that we've been told.  OK - not great loading but many times what it was 5 years ago and it's a pointer to the direction these things are going.  Pity about the buffers it'll hit in December.

In many ways, yes, a bit late.  BUT ... we should consider the insanity that's the new timetable (at least as far as the TransWilts line is concerned) and have evidence to say that "even up to xxx when it was imposed the old service was growing". Such evidence might be a pointer to the service that we should be looking for when (and not 'if', you note) it's restored.
