There are planned improvements at Chapeltown, Wombwell, Elsecar, Darton and Meadowhall stations, including new passenger information displays and CCTV (link below.)

There was an attempted de-railment on the line near to Chapletown station on the 16th March (link below.)

From Friday 21st March at 18:00 until Midnight Monday 24th March there will be no train services between Meadowhall and Sheffield Station due to planned engineering works (link below.)
