This train has been cancelled. This is due to a train fault.
17:43 Swindon to Southampton Central due 19:44
This train will be started from Westbury. It will no longer call at: Swindon, Chippenham, Melksham and Trowbridge. This is due to an earlier train fault.

Yes it was cancelled, the bus was waiting for us.
They did not put details of this canceeled train on thier daily e-mail.

I always find it most interesting how train faults always happen so that this particular train is cancelled, and can always be fixed in a couple of hours so that a shortened Westbury to Southampton train can run  My four customers - who are from a major organisation that I'm sure First would NOT want to get on the wrong side of - had to make alternative arrangements. They'll probably not even want to TRY for the 17:02 on Friday evening ... but then perhaps a second cancellation out of two for them would make an excellent news story. |
