Consultants will look at the economic costs of congestion on road and rail networks in a bid to find solutions.

The study is funded by East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and covers Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Results, when published in the summer, will help development of a regional economic growth strategy, EEDA said.
