Lack of publicity / information
« on: October 26, 2006, 06:49:30 AM »

You would have thought, wouldn't you, that if you laid on a new bus service you would make sure that people knew how to find it?   And especially if the bus service provides links for longer distance travellers rather than daily commuters?  And especially if you were the operator of the bus and also of the places where you can post your publicity?

I was up at Chippenham station at one O'Clock this morning, meeting customers ... and I had time to kill because the 00:56 was running late.   So a quick look at the signage and - my goodness - nearly 2 months after the 234 bus service was altered to call by Chippenham Station at certain times of day, not one of the signs on the station has been altered.  There's still instructions to walk to "Bus Stop E" down by the town bridge, and on the platform, Melksham still isn't listed in the places that you can get to from the station forecourt.  Does anyone want this service to suceed? Does anyone know any basic marketing line let your customer know you have a product?.
