RSS Examimation in public recommends railway improvements
« on: February 08, 2008, 11:06:15 AM »

I note in the letters in the Wiltshire Times today that John Bowley of Warminster writes

"The newly published draft South West Regional Spatial Strategy Examinamtion in Public Panel Report  recommends various transport schemes for our region, inclusive of other road and especially railway improvements, but does not include any Westbury Bypass"

Leaving aside the issue of the one particular road (on which I am not taking any sides), I'm encouraged by the rails aspect; perhaps the time is coming when we'll have a more appropriate TransWilts train service - I know we were close to geting it last December - perhaps we can succeed on a similar basis this year. It makes sense!
