Upcoming Melksham Main Road Closure
« on: January 25, 2008, 12:29:17 AM »

Part of the main road running through the centre of Melksham will close for up to six weeks, causing disruption to motorists and local businesses (link below.)

A stretch of Bath Road, from Union Street to the Sainsbury's roundabout, will shut next month so a £50,000 project to replace 116 metres of mains gas pipes can get underway.

Business owners in the area are annoyed and worried at the possible loss of trade.

The work is due to get underway between February 4 and 13.
