Surrey May Set Up Transport Authority
« on: January 24, 2008, 10:11:40 AM »

Councillors want to tackle traffic congestion and improve Surrey's fragmented transport system by setting up a county-wide authority (link below.)

Transport for Surrey (TfS) would be modelled on Transport for London (TfL), set up by London Mayor Ken Livingstone.

"TfS promises to revolutionise transport in Surrey and provide a much-improved system for everyone," said Councillor David Munro.

Surrey County Council will consider the proposal on 12 February.
