Plane passengers who arrive at Luton Airport Parkway Station will be charged at least £1 for the one mile trip to the airport (link below.)

First Capital Connect has taken over the previously free service and has introduced the fees for journeys made by the shuttle buses which take thousands of passengers from the Parkway Road station every week.

Since the station opened in November 1999, the number of passengers using London Luton Airport has more than doubled to ten million per year.

First has signed a contract with London Luton Airport Operations Ltd, and its First Bus division will operate a more frequent service.
