I caught the 18:06 from Chppenham to Melksham last Saturday.
About a dozen passengers got off, and a dozen on at Chippenham; too busy / confused to do an exact count ....
There were FORTY EIGHT people on that 1 coach train from Chippenham to Melksham, three waiting on the platform to join at Melksham and TWENTY got off. Sorry about the SHOUTING - I've used this train before, the levels of passengers are always very good, and accoding to the only / early draft I've seen this service cesases in 2 months time - it seems to defy all logic to 'pull' the service!

Were any of these folk wearing Swindon Town Shirts? This service is perfectly timed for people travelling back from a game at the County Ground, and also afternoon shoppers.
I have also used the 0902 from Chippenham (Melksham 0912) 3 times over the last couple of weeks and that one is getting busier too, didnt do any exact counts but it is a very well used service

I would thin a sizable minority of the passenger had been to the match; some had been shopping by the looks of things (demeanour, what they were carrying, etc) and remember that a dozen joined at Chippenham.
