Adult and community learning advisers Ian Clark and Claire Watson joined members of the BBC Reading and Writing literacy campaign last Sunday aboard the Plym Valley Railway's pre-Christmas Mince Pie Special.

Mr Clark and Ms Watson helped promote BBC RaW's short story competition, which is designed to encourage adult learners to improve their literacy skills by writing a children's story.

The closing date for the competition - which is open to anyone over 18 years old - is January 31.
