Planning Worry As Welsh Rail Use Jumps

The number of passengers using rail services across Wales is forecast to increase by more than a third (link below.)

The Welsh assembly's enterprise and learning committee said ministers needed to start planning for the rise in train passengers now.

It said the demand for passenger places could rise by up to 35% by 2016 on some services.

It also said there would need to be extra investment in new train carriages.
