As Keith Burton explains , the fast Leeds to Sheffield service doesnt actually call at Wombwell.......... "A recent item published in the Barnsley Independent says that the proposed 50 extra car parking spaces to be created at Wombwell will allow commuters who work in Leeds, Sheffield, and Barnsley to Park at Wombwell and use the new fast train service!! Now are they saying the fast Leeds to Sheffield service is going to stop and pick up passengers from Wombwell when the new car park opens?"
