Melksham Tourist Information Centre celebrates 25 years in business today (link below.)
http://www.wiltshiretimes.co.uk/news/latestheadlines/display.var.1803054.0.towns_tic_is_25_today.php

The centre opened its doors at the Roundhouse in Church Street , on November 5 1982.

The Roundhouse , an old wool drying stove , had been renovated by the town council , who together with the chamber of commerce launched the new service.

In 1994 , the tourism association bought the present premises , an old coach house.

In the 25 years of operation many people have been involved , and a party is being held to mark the successes.

Congratulations to the TIC.  And I was on the phone to them early yesterday - if only I had known!
