RAF Chilmark / Railway to Druid's Lodge
« on: October 21, 2007, 12:16:52 PM »

The TransWilts line runs down the Wylye Valley - through Codford and Stoford though the stations are long gone. RAF Chilmark is to the South West and Salisbur Plain to the North West.

I've often wondered about a strange water tower on Salisbury Plain and I stopped to take some pictures yesterday - with a local telling me that it was for the light railway that used to run to RAF Chilmark.   Does anyone know anythng about this railway?  Google isn't my usual helpful friend!
