Jobs Go At Bombardier Rail Maintenance Depot

About 200 jobs are to be lost at a rail maintenance depot in Kent (link below.)

Bombardier , which currently employs 333 people at Chart Leacon , in Ashford, is shedding 201 jobs based at the site.

The French-owned firm said an ongoing contract with South West Trains was ending in December and it had been unable to find replacement work.

The jobs being lost include electricians , fitters and painters who were employed to refitted South West Train carriages.
