A delegation is visiting the Labour Party Conference in Bournemouth on Monday to urge ministers to treat the issue as a priority.

The number of journeys made by train passengers in Greater Manchester has more than doubled in the past decade.

According to Roger Jones (name sounds familiar) , chairman of the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority , action is needed urgently because the city is expected to have an extra 210,000 jobs by 2021.
