Fewer_trains + Same_number_of_passengers_having_to_use_them = more_profit_for_operator

There do seem to be some stings in the tail at final revision ... robbing Peter to pay Paul;   there's a number of Peters out there who'll be feeling hard done by this weekend.    Is it a co-incidence that the timetables were released on a Friday just after most of the politicians had left for the summer?
