Direct Rail Services (DRS) has been given the grant by the Scottish Executive to transport goods between central Scotland and Aberdeen.

Most of the freight will be from ASDA's distribution depot in Grangemouth.

DRS has already been awarded £269,500 and will receive another £475,700 in April 2008 , depending on the results of a spending review.
