Missed Points west as the 17.59 was later over 20 minutes late.

Yes ... short but pointed piece.  So rare to see Melksham on the local news ... me saying how we're dropping from 10 to 4 trains, interviewer shows frieght train passing through and saying they'll be more freight than passenger services here in the future ... cut to Andrew Griffiths of First talking proudly about "not all being bad" and for-instancing the new very early moning train from Bristol to London.   Progam segment concluded that First, who are more used to operating the main line, are building up the log distance stuff at the expense of local services.

I saw it - good to get some publicity on the West Country news.  I taped it so will watch it again as sometimes you take in more the second time.  David Redgewell was on there too.  Was good to see the freight train go through perhaps showing how important the decision makers see the line for freight.

PS I thought the 1759 must of been late as I was waiting to take a photo of it!
