Petition For Network Rail To Be Covered By FOI

Network Rail is to all intents and purposes a public body that runs the rail network on behalf of the Government but beacause of the way it is constituted it is not automatically covered by the Freedom of Information Act.  However, the Act provides for such entities to be specified by Order.  The attached petition requests the Government to place such an Order to bring NR under the Act.  Theticketcollector.co.uk invite readers to sign the petition.
