Not the first London commuter I have heard this from.  I have only used these trains occasionally and not found them too problematic apart from the slightly odd seat shapes.  I do find myself missing the slam-doors.  Open windows enabled ventilation which did not dry out your skin, eyes and mouth and also muffled the dreadful telephone conversations and over-amplified games consoles and personal stereos.

Are there any still for sale?  Can we buy them for the TransWilts??
