I can't see this story posted anywhere else but apologies if it already has. I first noticed it on the front page of The Times (13/08/07) which reported the threatened legal action (for libel) taken by First Group against TravelWatch London. Here is the BBC story: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/6943889.stmFGW allege that the letter that TravelWatch wrote requesting the stripping of the franchise away from First contained inaccurate facts. I have not read the letter yet but its contents were reported to have contained complaints about the punctuality record which did not meet the SLC. What the inaccurate 'facts' were I'm not sure. Anyone with anymore information on the reason for this hostile move by First? |
