Many thanks to Peter, Sion and Margaret for their support at the show - I couldn't have done it without their help on the day. Sion representing "Save the Train" at the West Wilts Show Graham and Andrew Murrison at the show Also very grateful for the ongoing support from everyone else - and the hugely positive reaction that I'm getting from nearly everyone I speak with.

It was a very interesting two days at West Wilts Show.
We meet some very interesting people not one person had a bad word for the Stand and what working we are doing for "Save the Train".

Actually - there was ONE. Just one. Supportive, she said, of our aims ... but not of our methods. That was one of our elected representatives, who is also the cabinet member on Wiltshire County Council for transport and a host of other topics. She felt that we shouldn't be encouraging people to write to her to call for an an approrpiate train service ... My own view is that an elected politician who stops wanting to hear voter's views is on a slippery slope. And that if we didn't keep reminding her of the case from time to time, it might just get pushed down the pile behind something else. Did you notice what a different and much more positive position was taken by the even more senior person we spoke to, Sion?
