Improvements have been made at two Stoke-on-Trent railway stations (link below.) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/staffordshire/6238414.stmThey include CCTV , better lighting , shelters and passenger information facilities at Longport and Longton stations. North Staffordshire Regeneration Zone funded the scheme paying out almost £250,000. Funds were made available by regional development agency Advantage West Midlands while Central Trains managed the project. The scheme was developed by North Staffordshire Community Rail Partnership which includes Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
