German Rail Giant Close To Buying EWS

English Welsh & Scottish Railway (EWS) , is in advanced talks to be sold to Deutsche Bahn (DB) for around £250m in a deal that would put the German rail giant in charge of most goods sent by train in the UK (links below.)

Deutsche Bahn has won conditional permission from the European Commission to buy English Welsh & Scottish Railway Holdings (link below.)
