East Midlands Summer Disruption
« on: April 30, 2007, 03:24:15 PM »

Some train services will be severely disrupted this summer as Network Rail starts a multi-million pound improvement scheme (link below.)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nottinghamshire/6605489.stm

A 19-mile stretch between Nottingham , Langley Mill and Alfreton will be closed from 10 June to 6 August while the project is completed.

Trains will not call at Langley Mill or Alfreton , adding 20 minutes to journey times.

Passengers who usually board trains at those stations will have to take replacement buses to Nottingham or Chesterfield and connect from there.
