07.37 was cancelled this morning (Salisbury to Southampton) due to a defective unit. I thought these units were meant to have been fixed or replaced by now? I also noted a train in the direction of Cardiff was also cancelled for the same reason.

There's been a huge improvement, but still trains will fail occasionally (or rather more than occasionally in the case of the old class 143 units which, however, are not to run south of Warminster) and there's no short term spares sitting at Salisbury to fill in ....
I suspect this morning WAS a short term failure since the FGW bulletin talked of all services running normally
