Corridor populations
« on: March 08, 2007, 11:49:10 AM »

These are population figures for the urban areas along the Swindon - Salisbury - Southampton route.  Some date back to 2001 Census, others are more recent estimates and it's very hard to compare like for like - in some places rural areas might be included, in others parts of the sprawl left out.   But these are a good basis / order of magnitude.

Swindon  156k
Wootton Bassett 11k
Chippenham 32k (including "Without")
Melksham 24k (including "Without")
Trowbridge 30k
Westbury 11k
     Frome 25k
Warminster 20k
Wilton 4k
Salisbury 45k
Romsey 18k (Includine "Extra")
Southampton 218k
