Anyone caught up in the issues yesterday in Wales before the football?
« on: February 26, 2007, 12:56:54 PM »

I'm a big Arsenal fan and I'm thinking that I was I'm glad I couldn't go to the Carling Cup final! As well as being annoyed at losing the match there would have been the extra pain caused by having major train delays to and from the match, due to signal failure. Apparently there were people who didn't get there until half time, and had left London at 10.00! It took 2 hours to get the 10-15 minutes from Newport to Cardiff! One supporter said they had turned around and gone home, after paying £54 for a train ticket, and £74 for a match ticket.

It's interesting reading some of the stories on the Arsenal mailing lists and message boards. There were lots of comments that there was no organization, no announcements and feedback from FGW. Welcome to our world, guys!

Even this morning at Didcot there were problems. I got on the 7.42 train to Paddington at 9.15! There were 2 trains which came in and stopped at the platform but they wouldn't open the doors to let people in. Why do they do that? There were seats galore, and lots of delayed people waiting to get on the train!

Anyone on here caught up yesterday or this morning?

Cheers

Chris
