Recommended service - hourly, according to the GWRUS. Let's work towards that service and towards ensuring all services are used.

Looking for a sponsor and/or part funding
« on: February 04, 2007, 05:03:03 PM »

I've just been speaking with a newspaper who have a comment on the "TransWilts" from First.   "We understood extensive consultations but weren't able to meet the aspirations of everyone.  We now provide a peak hour service only on [Transwilts] but would be happy to provide an off peak service is some other party would sponsor or part fund it".

Interesting ....

1. They do NOT provide a peak hour service ... the remaining trains are pre morning peak and post evening peak. We ASKED for it to be paek at the consultation.

2. Isn't the act of buying a ticket part-funding the service?  I would gladly continute to but my tickets (and even pay two pounds a journey more) if there was an appropriate train service.

Perhaps we have the basis of an agreement here  Grin
