« on: January 25, 2007, 11:55:44 AM »

Rail services in and out of south Wales are stopping at Cardiff after a First Great Western passenger train caught fire approaching Neath station (link below.)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/6297337.stm

Around 10 passengers were on aboard and were sent to the rear of the train while fire crews brought the blaze under control. No-one was injured.

From the First Great Western website :

Due to a service failing on the mainline at Neath , passengers are advised that there is major disruption to services to and from Swansea.

Severe delays and short notice cancellations can be expected.
