Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 January: Engineering work between Reading and Westbury

Customers are advised that due to engineering works taking place between Reading and Westbury the following alterations will apply:
2035 London Paddington to Plymouth WILL BE DIVERTED after READING and WILL NOT CALL at NEWBURY or PEWSEY. The train will make an additional stop at Swindon.

1948 Exeter St Davids to London Paddington WILL BE DIVERTED after WESTBURY and WILL NOT CALL at PEWSEY or NEWBURY.

And in contrast:

19:50 train on 12/01/2007 train ran but appears to have been diverted via Bath
19:08 train on 08/01/2007 Train ran but diverted via Bath

It gets all the more silly!
