Severn Beach Line Short Train (08/01/2007)
« on: January 08, 2007, 01:01:52 PM »

From Cat Hobbs / John Hall (FOSBR) :

Commuters from Redland were left on the platform this morning , because the train going to Temple Meads was so crowded.

Does anyone have a digital camera that we could use to get a picture of this overcrowding? It would be great if we could do this before Thursday's lobby of the Council. That way , we have a picture for the press to show how much we need an extra train.

If you have a digital camera and would be prepared to either take the picture yourself , or lend FOSBR the camera , please let me know asap.

From widespread reports of planned cancellations due to shortage of trains I suppose we should be grateful that the train ran this morning , with no more than the customary one minute delay at Sea Mills.

It was however only one carriage instead of two and I understand that from Redland onwards passengers were left on the platform unable to board.
